The 2024 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships are set to take place April 21-23, hosted by Washington State University at Palouse Ridge Golf Club.

This year's Championships will be dedicated to longtime CALIFORNIA head coach Nancy McDaniel in honor of her retirement and brave battle against breast cancer, and in continuation of the PlayforHer campaign which raised over $280,000 for breast cancer research at this past fall's Stanford Intercollegiate.

The three-day, 5-count-4, 54-hole stroke play competition will play at par-72 and 6,324 yards for its second staging at Palouse Ridge GC (2012) since the course's 2008 redesign, and WSU's fourth stint as event host (1993, 2002, 2012).

The Pacific Northwest tends to produce higher scores at the Championships - in the 14 previous events hosted by the quartet of Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State, 11 team champions and eight individual medalists have finished even-par or higher including all three prior times in eastern Washington. That scoring trend could be bucked as the forecast calls for minimal wind and rain with temperatures climbing into the 50s-60s on the Palouse.

Split tee times will be utilized beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT both Sunday and Monday, and at 8:00 a.m. PT for Tuesday's final round. Daily 30-minute highlight shows will air on Pac-12 Network the morning following each round - 10:00 a.m. PT on Monday (1st Round recap) and Tuesday (2nd Round recap), and 8:00 a.m. PT on Wednesday (Final Round recap).

The loaded 11-team field will feature six teams ranked in the top 25 of the latest Scoreboard/Clippd national rankings. While three of those teams are in the top 10, including No. 1 Stanford and defending champion No. 9 USC, the competition could prove to be wide open to those outside the top of the polls - the Trojans entered last year's Championships at No. 15 nationally before cruising to a wire-to-wire seven-shot victory in Phoenix.

Clippd/Scoreboard Top 50 Collegiate Ranked Pac-12 Teams

  • No. 1 STANFORD

  • No. 12 ARIZONA STATE

  • No. 35 WASHINGTON

The departure to the pro ranks of Stanford's Rose Zhang - last year's Pac-12 and NCAA medalist - leaves the quest for the individual title equally as wide open.

A pair of freshmen - Oregon's Kiara Romero (No. 5 nationally) and Stanford's Paula Martin Sampedro (No. 6) - enter as the league's highest rated individuals, but 18 other top-100 ranked players in the country according to Scoreboard/Clippd will comprise the stacked 55-woman field.
