The bracket is set for the 2024 Pac-12 Softball Tournament, with action slated to begin Wednesday, May 8 at Stanford’s Boyd & Jill Smith Family Stadium.
UCLA (33-10, 16-4 Pac-12) will be the No. 1 seed after winning its 13th regular-season Pac-12 title. The Bruins went 17-4 in league play this season, and enter the Pac-12 Tournament having won five straight games.
Host Stanford (42-12, 17-7 Pac-12) is the No. 2 seed. The Cardinal won its most Conference games ever this season with 17 Pac-12 victories.
With Oregon (28-18) and Washington (31-12) tied with 13-10 league records, the Pac-12’s tie breaking procedures were implemented to determine the No. 3 and 4 seeds. The Ducks emerged as the No. 3 seed as they had a better head-to-head record (2-1) versus the Huskies this season. Oregon topped sixth-ranked Stanford in the regular-season finale behind a complete-game shutout from Elise Sokolsky. Washington has 10 top-25 wins this season, eight of which have come in Pac-12 play.
Arizona (33-15-1, 13-11 Pac-12) is the No. 5 seed. The Wildcats have won six of their last eight games, including a pair of top-25 wins. Reigning Pac-12 Tournament champion Utah (32-19, 10-13 Pac-12) is the No. 6 seed. The Utes beat No. 9 Washington twice to wrap up the regular season this past weekend to reach double-digit league wins for the second straight year.
California (36-15, 9-12 Pac-12) will be the No. 7 seed, and goes into the Pac-12 Tournament winning four of its last five. No. 8 seed Oregon State (20-28, 8-15 Pac-12) and No. 9 seed Arizona State (19-29, 3-20 Pac-12) round out the tournament field. These two teams are set to square off on Wednesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. MT to begin postseason play.
All eight games will be nationally televised, with Wednesday’s and Thursday’s games set to air on Pac-12 Networks. Friday’s semifinals and Saturday’s championship will air on ESPN2.
