May 6, 2024

LOS ANGELES– For their efforts in last week's Pac-12 Women's Lacrosse Tournament, Arizona State seniors Zoe Mazur and Mina Scott were named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team. The pair led ASU to the semifinal round after picking up a win over Oregon before eventually falling 20-15 to No. 1 Stanford.

The 15 goals were a season-high allowed by the Cardinal this season. The team ended the year 9-10, and put up three more wins under head coach Taryn VanThof in her second season, after recording six wins in 2023.

Defender Zoe Mazur etched her name atop the Pac-12 and ASU career record books after tallying 19 draw controls against the Cardinal, totaling 167 on the season and 330 in her career. The records broken after her performance included: Pac-12 single-game record, ASU single-game record, Pac-12 career draw control record, and Pac-12 single-season record. She totaled one goal, 27 draw controls, one caused turnover, and two ground balls in the tournament.

Attacker Mina Scott on the other hand led the offensive charge with 11 points coming from five goals and six assists. She had a single-game career-high four assists in the loss to Stanford. Scott also recorded two ground balls, four draw controls, and one caused turnover.
