Get to know Sun Devil Football wide receiver Coben Bourguet. The younger brother of Sun Devil quarterback Trenton -- both Tucson natives -- will be earning his degree in engineering management from ASU's Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering this May.

One word to describe your feeling when you were put on the an ASU polo for the first time: Blessed

The happiest you have ever been on the field is: Beating Washington at home in 2022.

What did like best about your hometown? I like that 99% of my family lives there so there is always something to do with the family. Never a dull moment.

Favorite song from your favorite artist? Where the Wild Things Are by Luke Combs

Are you a good dancer? When is the last time you danced? I am not a good dancer and probably haven't danced since I was 10. Ha ha!

What is one of your favorite quotes? "Talent will get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there."

What chore do you absolutely dislike? Picking up dog poop.

What is your favorite form of exercise?  Squats, I love a good leg day.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career? My mentor Ben Noriega is like a brother to me and has set an example of what I want to do in the industry.

If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be? The first person to travel through time.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Quantum Physics

If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would it be? Elon Musk

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? I used to argue with my siblings.
 
What story does your family always tell about you? They love to make fun of the time that I was first learning how to drive.

What's your favorite TV show/series and why? Game of Thrones because of the CGI and plot. It was a great series to get into during COVID and there are lots of episodes. 

If you were a character on a TV show/series, which one would you be? I would be Marty Byrde from Ozarks because of how his mind works and running a complex operation.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? The Path I Walked: A Life Story

Name one thing about yourself that most people don't know: I have a passion for the outdoors and hunting.

What is your favorite commercial? The "sportsmanship - pass it on" basketball commercial.

Game/event where you learned the most from? High school basketball.

If you could live during any time period when/where would it be and why? I would want to live in the time period of the Wild West and also during the Gold Rush.

What is the most important thing that a parent/grandparent taught you? You can't control everything that happens around you, but you can always control your attitude and effort.

What was the single-biggest challenge of your life?  Adjusting to living away from my family when I first got to college.

What is your favorite road trip destination?  San Diego

Something I have not done, but I will: Own and operate my own business.

What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas because it's the celebration of Christ's birth and all of my family is together. The Christmas lights also are a good vibe.

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Resilient, ambitious, unique

What is the most useful app you have downloaded?  X (formerly known as Twitter) is my number one source for all news and current events.

What is your best childhood sports memory?  Winning a national championship with my brothers.

What is your favorite sport to watch other than basketball? College softball

What is your favorite food?  Steak and potatoes

What is your favorite restaurant? Mr. An's Teppan Steak and Seafood Sushi in Tucson

What do you miss the most about being a kid? The time spent at my grandparents' houses with all my cousins.

What is the hardest thing that you have ever done? Computer Science class - object oriented programming

What is a place that you have always wanted to visit? Turks and Caicos

What was the most exciting game you have ever been a part of? Either beating Washington in 2022 or my brother Trenton's first start and win against Colorado that same season.
