On Friday, Feb. 23, Cal Athletics & the Cal Alumni Association held an event celebrate Black history as part of Black History Month. The event featured panelists and honorees Dr. Harry Edwards, Dr. John Carlos & Dr. Tommie Smith for a panel discussion and celebration to learn about the 1968 Olympic Project for Human Rights and honor three giants of justice for their contributions to sport and society, including the creation of the most iconic sports image of the 20th century.
