The Pac-12 Conference announced the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball postseason honors and All-Conference teams for the 2024 season on Wednesday, as determined by the league’s coaches. USC senior Megan Kraft was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year as part of the Pac-12 Pair of the Year with partner Delaynie Maple. STANFORD’s Brooke Rockwell was voted the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year while ARIZONA STATE’s Kristen Rohr was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
Pair of the Year: Megan Kraft (Sr./San Diego Calif.) & Delaynie Maple (Sr./San Diego, Calif.), USC
For the second year in a row, USC’s Megan Kraft and Delaynie Maple have been named the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Pair of the Year. With a record of 33-4 exclusively on court one, Maple and Kraft have left their mark on the 2024 season. Of their 33 wins, the pair secured 28 straight-set wins, 27 ranked victories and 10 dual clinching points, and became the first pair in the country to hit the 30 win mark on the season. Three of their four season losses came against pairs from top-7 programs with only one being lost in straight sets.
Separately, both Maple and Kraft have hit the 120 career win mark, solidifying themselves as the winningest players in NCAA history by matches won per season (Kraft - 30.75/season; Maple - 31.5/season) with their 61 career pair wins sitting them at 6th in USC history.
Together the duo boasted 10 consecutive weeks as TruVolley’s top pair in the country, earning an AVCA/CBVB National Pair of the Week award and a Pac-12 Pair of the Week award in the process. This award signifies USC’s seventh Pair of the Year award out of the league’s eight total.
Player of the Year: Megan Kraft, Sr., USC (San Diego, Calif.)
Alongside her Pair of the Year nod, USC Trojan Megan Kraft has been named the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Player of the Year. With 33 wins exclusively on the No. 1 court the senior takes home her second consecutive Player of the Year award. With a 123-12 career record, Maple boasts the eighth most wins in USC history with the fourth highest career win percentage (.911). Kraft recently earned her fourth-consecutive AVCA All-American honor and is looking to add a fourth NCAA Championship title to her name.
Freshman of the Year: Brooke Rockwell, Stanford (Fayetteville, Ark.)
After completing a 24-10 season exclusively on court one Brooke Rockwell has been named the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Freshman of the Year. Paired up with Cardinal veteran Xolani Hodel, Rockwell was able to secure 15 ranked wins, including a two-set win over then-No. 1 UCLA, and 18 total straight-set wins in her debut season. All 10 of the duo’s losses came against ranked opponents and the pair are one of two Cardinal duos to reach the 24 win mark this season (Taylor Wilson/Ruby Sorra). Rockwell is the Cardinal's second Freshman of the Year and first since 2017 (Kathryn Plummer).
Coach of the Year: Kristen Rohr, Arizona State
After her first season at the helm of the Sun Devils, Arizona State head coach Kristen Rohr has been named the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Coach of the Year. Rohr led the Sun Devils to a record breaking 21-9 season that included tying for the most wins in Sun Devil history (2019), the most ever ranked victories in program history (11) and the best start to a season, going on a 6-0 run to begin the open 2024 season. The Sand Devils saw the AVCA National Top-20 for the entirety of the season, with a season high ranking of 11, thanks in part to their undefeated record against unranked opponents. On March 8th the Sand Devils were able to take down their highest ranked opponent in history in then-No. 2 Stanford and a few weeks later they received their first Pac-12 Pair of the Week honor since 2019 (Arden Besecker/Ava Williamson).
For only the third time in conference history Arizona State saw two wins at the Pac-12 Championships, making it to the third day of competition. This, combined with their outstanding 2024 season, led the Sun Devils to their first ever NCAA Tournament at-large bid where they were selected as the 12th seed. Rohr is the first Arizona State Sun Devil to win Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Coach of the Year.
