USC Beach Volleyball's Megan Kraft Named AVCA National Player of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. – USC beach volleyball senior All-American Megan Kraft (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines HS) was selected as the inaugural American Volleyball Coaches Association Player of the Year on Thursday, May 2.
 
Kraft became the Trojans' third four-time All-American this week and joins Sara Hughes (2014-17) and Tina Graudina (2018-19, '21-22). She was a first-team choice in 2021, 2023, and 2024; and was a second-team member in 2022. Kraft holds an overall record of 33-4 on the season and is 123-12 all-time to rank eighth in school history. 
 
Kraft is the two-time reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year and is a four-time Pac-12 Pair of the Year winner alongside Graudina twice (2021, '22) and senior All-American Delaynie Maple (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines HS) twice (2023, '24). She is also a four-time All-Pac-12 choice and was the 2021 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. Kraft has garnered the AVCA's Top Flight Award in two seasons (2022, '23) and is a two-time winner of the AVCA/CBVB National Pair of the Week award with Maple.
 
No. 1-ranked USC (33-5) earned the top seed in the upcoming NCAA championship and will begin defense of its three consecutive national titles on Friday (May 3) with a round of 16 match-up against either Atlantic Sun champion North Florida (24-11) or Ohio Valley champion Chattanooga (19-9). All duals at the championship will be shown live by ESPNU, ESPN2, and ESPN.
